Alert Now Messaging System to be used for announcements

Area school districts will now be using an automated messaging system to deliver announcements and school cancelation notices to parents and staff. Television and radio stations will still carry inclement weather school cancelations but the new messaging system will also be making a phone call to each household that has a valid phone number on file with the school district. Calls will not be made after 9 PM or before 5:45 AM. If you have a valid e-mail address on file an e-mail can be sent to you as well.
