Students from Ms. Wildfong's fifth grade made eco-friendly bags from t-shirts.

Fifth graders go green

Cool bags from t-shirts are reusable and cute

October 21, 2008

Ms. Wildfong's Patriots are Going Green! Those students who wanted to make a bag brought in a used T-shirt. We then cut the sleeves out, sewed them up and also put a hem in the bottom of the shirt! Viola'! A reusable bag with two handles!

Some of the Patriots are using them to bring their belongings to school everyday, but we think the most fun came when we used the sewing machine! We imagined this is what driving a car will be like.

Do you have a license to drive that?

If you'd like to see a Green Bag or find out how to make one ask any student in our class!
