Learning about Michigan history

Third grade enjoyed a blast from the past when Fort Michilimackinac came to life at Birch Street Elementary.
Children enjoyed a presentation from two members of Mackinac Historical Parks and Recreation. Students were able to listen to authentic music, learn the "paddle dance" and gain knowledge of everyday fort life.
