Sixty Minutes? Sixty What? Sixty Minutes a day. Sixty minutes a day of exercise is what everyone should be getting for their own personal wellness. Tai Bo, weight lifting, basket ball. You name it. It works. Pilates? Absolutely. What about skiing? Go for it. Sledding? You have to walk up the hill to get down. Have fun, make it fun. Get the whole family involved.
Is eating right one of your New Year resolutions? Check out www.mypyramid.gov. This web site has a sample of the new food pyramid and how you can make it work for you.
Wellness, healthy lifestyles, and proper nutrition are all major concerns as we move into a new year. KMS staffers are putting together a wellness room and we are looking for donated equipment. If you have gotten a replacement treadmill, stair climber, elliptical, or any other piece of equipment and you want to put your old equipment to good use, call Mr. Collins at the Middle School (258-4040 ext. 256). If it is in good shape, he will find a way to take it off your hands.
