KPS teacher authors a moving tribute to a local artist

LaShelle VanHouten, former art teacher at Kalkaska High School, has become a published author of a story about a local artist, Ed Lantzer.
Her book, entitled "The Mural Writer," is a tribute to her friend and is available on amazon.com.
Mrs. VanHouten is a graduate of Kalkaska Public Schools, and has taught art at Northside Educational Center, the Middle School and now the High School.
