Rockets take to the skies
Successful launches!
October 31, 2008
Students from Mr. Andy Urquhart's Astronomy class have been heading to the northwest end of the football field. Their Mission: Launch Rockets.
One of the challenges was to cradle a raw egg in each rocket, send it to the skies and have the entire unit land, hopefully without "killing" the egg.
Under sunny skies, the energy was invigorating as the teams lined up their creations. Several rockets launched on Halloween Day, and more took to the sky on Nov. 4th.
Check out the activity on this slide show. It was awesome!
