Power Lifting
Saturday at Manistee's Regional Qualifier, two Kalkaska lifters qualified for the state finals meet in March at Montrose High School. Nick Mitchell qualified in the 220 Varsity weight class, he was able to squat 350 lbs, bench press 245 lbs, and dead lift 455 lbs (his personal best). Eighth grader Seth Riddle qualified for the JV finals in the 220 class squatting 140 lbs. bench pressing 165 lbs. and dead lifting 280 lbs. These were all personal bests for Seth. Great job gentlemen and good luck at states.
